Censorship

Censorship refers to the process of prohibition, alteration, and suppression of content that is considered detrimental for the general public. Some of the most prominent reasons behind censorship include protecting national security, regulating obscene content, discouraging child pornography, and more.

The concept of decentralization bought by cryptocurrencies was to dismantle the financial censorship imposed by the governments and other institutions over the flow of money. Although the future of cryptocurrency can’t be affected by censorship imposed by certain regulatory bodies,  the whole concept promotes the idea of censorship resistance all by itself.
