Blockchain 2.0 is basically an extended idea of Blockchain 1.0 with the introduction of value exchanges (peer-to-peer) in a decentralized system. Blockchain 2.0 created the first differentiation between Bitcoin into an asset class and Blockchain as the infrastructure on top of which it is built upon.
Smart contracts also made it evident how Blockchain can find real-world applications. Validating the claim of ownership also became possible with the advent of Blockchain 2.0. Not to mention, around this time the crypto market also saw substantial ground with the introduction of other coins for miners.
